Rules and Regulations

1. Participants who fail to abide with the Rules and Regulations of Splashdown 2010 may be disqualified.

2. Participants who feel unwell before the event are advised to inform Splashdown Officials and stay clear of the pool. Participants who feel unwell during the course of the event should stop and seek immediate medical attention by approaching any of the Splashdown Officials.

3. The Splashdown 2010 Organising Committee reserves the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable (i.e. dehydration, dislocation of shoulder, etc.) of continuing the swim.

4. Participants will be assigned with race numbers to be written in black permanent marker on their left upper arms. The race numbers must be clearly visible to Splashdown Officials at all times throughout the event.

5. Participants are not allowed to change nor swop lanes with their friends, and should remain in the lanes designated to them. Failure to do so might result in disqualification.

6. Participants are STRICTLY not allowed to bring nor use their own rubberbands for this event, and are also not allowed to combine the number of rubberbands from two or more persons. The Splashdown 2010 Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any participants found to be cheating during the race.

7. In case of bad weather, it will be at the discretion of the Splashdown 2010 Organizing Committee to cancel the event. In the event of cancellation, there will be a lucky draw for the top prizes.

NUS Splashdown 2010
Splashdown! is an annual NUS mass swim & swimathon event organized by the University Lifeguard Corps (ULC) to promote fitness, enrichment, fun, as well as lifesaving and water safety amongst swimming enthusiasts, both competitive and beginners alike!
